All summer, I have felt out of place, and sometimes just down right bitchy.

This morning? A lightbulb.

This is my first summer in 4 years that I haven’t been in school. I know it sounds like I should be jumping for joy (which I am), it’s just taking some time for me to get used to. I have felt like my zest for life has been missing all summer. I’ve been uninspired creatively, and distant emotionally.

Well, sometime between yesterday and this morning, I got it back. Hopefully for good.

I feel like saying, “I’m baaaackkk!!”

Its been an overwhelming day. I really should plan more outings through the week so I don’t feel so tense for days at a time.

I feel like multiple days merge into one when I stay in. It’s not good for my mind.

It’s hard to reach a balance, because on the flipside, Michael is in a car for 2 hrs a day and needs to come home to do his studies for graduate school. And when he’s home, he is done socializing and is ready to get down to business.

This leaves me feeling stuck and irritable. It’s not his fault, it’s just the way life is right now.

I can’t wait to move to a big city where a trip to a store to get some public exposure isn’t an all evening affair. Right now, it would take me nearly an hour just to get somewhere and back. Not counting the time spent there.

Hopefully soon Michael and I will start flooding the market with his credentials and we will know where our future lies. Until then, I’m stuck in the sticks.
